Magic Numbers: The Runaway
THIS third album from the much-loved British band made up from two sets of brothers and sisters (remember, they were the ones that walked off Top Of The Pops after a jibe about their weight?) is as lovely as you were maybe hoping.
With the sort of harmonies only families can ever really pull off there’s something of a retro vibe to The Runaway, while the debut single The Pulse is nothing short of heartbreaking.
They could afford to smarten up a bit (don’t walk off!) but that apart this is another sure-footed step on their Mercury-nominated journey to greatness.
(Heavenly).
Verdict: 3 stars.
