Hannah Sandling: I am the female Lewis Hamilton
THE TV presenter, author, stylist and model, 31, lives in West London.
Food
Always the same or always game?
I’m game and believe variety is the spice of life. There is so much gorgeous grub out there I don’t see the point of munching on the same thing every day – how boring.
Cooking
Experimental or tried and tested?
Sometimes my kitchen looks like it’s been turned over by burglars because of the ingredients that end up on the walls rather than in the pot. I enjoy experimenting and creating new culinary delights.
Clothes
M&S or D&G?
I love a bargain that looks fun and edgy
It has to be M&S. I love a bargain that looks fun and edgy. Forget designer cashmere, the high street is the place to go.
Fashion
Victim or setter?
If I ever become a fashion victim please lock me up. Being a fashion setter shows what a cool and original person you are.
Shopping
Until you drop or avoid at all costs?
I love shopping as long as I’m well prepared which means leaving high heels and any moaning men at home. The best part, and my excuse for shopping so often, is that all that zooming around can burn up to 400 calories an hour. If that isn’t good reason to shop until you drop I don’t know what is.
Holidays
Beach or piste?
The beach is great for ogling fit young men from behind oversized sunglasses but there’s nothing quite like racing down the slopes – particularly if you’re an adrenaline junkie like me.
Approach to Life
Mañana or right now?
No one knows when their time is up so I live every day as if it’s my last. I enjoy all the beautiful things in the world, have fun with my loved ones and laugh myself to sleep.
Friends
Quantity or quality?
Quality. With a small handful of good friends you can really appreciate every single one.
Money
Rainy day or live for today?
I’m a money hoarder. I love to save and invest in sensible things. However that doesn’t mean I don’t occasionally splash out on something naughty such as a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choos.
Cars
Boy racer or Sunday driver?
Boy racer of course. I am the female version of Lewis Hamilton. I took racing lessons a few years ago and ever since then I have found cruising around in a fast car to be the ultimate high.
Entertainment
Intimate dinner or big bash?
Sometimes I love to glam up for a big bash but other times nothing beats having dinner with your best friends where the dress code is strictly pyjamas.
Property
Urban chic or rural retreat?
I’ve got a split personality when it comes to houses because I love town and country. If I had to choose I would go for the country. I love to be surrounded by horses, dogs, vegetable patches and beautiful landscapes.
Décor
Minimal or cosy?
Homes reflect the owner’s personality. None of my houses have been sparse looking. They’ve all been colourful and cosy and I think that’s what I’m all about.
Children
Mary Poppins or Cruella de Vil?
I don’t think I will ever truly grow up. Michael Jackson’s nickname for me was Tinkerbell – need I say more? I love the fun outlook on life that children have and believe that if you can hang on to that as an adult, you’ve got a recipe for happiness.
Health
Alternative or aspirin?
I always try to find a natural alternative before cramming my body with rubbish. I hate pill popping .
Rubbish
Bin it or recycle it?
I’m a big recycler, especially if it involves turning something old into something new such as customising clothes . I often have a big clear-out at home and give to charity shops.
Fitness
Jane Fonda or Jim Royle?
My bottom and the sofa rarely come into contact these days. I’m either on my bicycle or being dragged across a sweltering desert on an ultra-endurance marathon. I’m keen on keeping fit.
Technologie
Gadget girl or technophobe?
I’ve got all the gadgets but I must officially be the worst gadget girl on the planet. When it comes to understanding what everything does I’m hopeless .
