Moonpig profits and sales double
MOONPIG, the online service that allows customers to personalise greetings cards, has seen sales and profits double in the past year.
The privately owned company reported pre-tax profits of £6.7million on sales of £20.9million in the year to the end of April.
Founded by former sugar trader Nick Jenkins in 1999, Moonpig is one of the few web companies that survived and prospered after the dotcom boom went bust.
It now sells more than six million cards a year and claims to account for 90 per cent of cards sold online in the UK.
