Job leaves Shell pay committe
SIR PETER JOB is standing down as chairman of Royal Dutch Shell’s remuneration committee after shareholders called for his head earlier this year.
They voted 60 per cent against the oil major’s executive pay at June’s annual meeting because five executive directors received bonuses despite targets being missed.
Shell said Job was retiring because he had served nine years on the board and would no longer be considered independent under corporate governance rules. Lord Kerr is also standing down from the remuneration committee.
