Orders bang on for Chemring
MILITARY equipment maker Chemring, whose products protect fighter planes from missile attacks, revealed explosive sales growth yesterday on the back of activity in the Middle East.
The company said revenues had risen 40 per cent to £143million since the start of May and said its order book had grown by a third on the same period last year to £574million.
It added it had won a $75million (£46million) contract to supply mine detection systems to the US Army and that a number of other nations had expressed “strong interest”.
