Bumi plan is off
COAL miner Bumi, founded by Nathaniel Rothschild, has scrapped plans to invest $2billion (£1.25billion) in a controlling stake in base metals group Bumi Resources Minerals of Indonesia.
It blamed turbulence for a sharp fall in its shares, undermining a deal for shares converting at a set price.
