Kate Moss's style has gone mobile with Carphone Warehouse
CARPHONE WAREHOUSE has dialled up Kate Moss to keep Britain’s £200million mobile accessories market in vogue.
The mobile phone retailer has signed an exclusive partnership with the supermodel to create fashion cases and covers for smartphones and tablets. It plans to release at least two collections a year, with the first “fashion tech” offering due shortly after months of development.
More than 14 million mobile accessories were sold in the UK last year, while female smartphone ownership jumped by 52 per cent over the past year.
Julian Diment, marketing director at Carphone Warehouse, said, “We looked at the accessory ranges available today, and found that consumers were crying out for something different. They see their technology as another way of expressing themselves and a natural extension of their own personal style. Fashion tech blurs the lines between fashion and technology, and Kate Moss is the perfect match for us to drive forward integration and creativity from the two industries.”
Kate Moss added: “My phone’s as much a part of my look as my bag or shoes, and yet there’s so little choice out there. From the quality of materials to design, I wanted the best for my range that reflected my personal style.”
