Brands jump on Rolling bandwagon
THE Rolling Stones are not the only ones cashing in on their Exhibitionism show at London’s Saatchi Gallery, as British brands are rocking its gift shop as well.
The Rolling Stones are not the only ones benefitting from Exhibitionism
Upmarket merchandise from the show, which documents the band’s history, features limited editions from 16 British heritage and up-and-coming labels including Wedgwood, Pringle of Scotland, silk scarf designer Laura Orchant and The Cambridge Satchel Company.
The show promises to pay dividends for its UK suppliers and star turns include two silk smoking jackets from bespoke menswear maker and Royal favourite Turnbull & Asser.
At £1,450 each, the sharp styling of the collectibles has already caught the eye of the band for their own wardrobes.
These are great examples of British craft and design coming together
T&A’s design and product development head Dean Gomilsek-Cole said: “These are great examples of British craft and design coming together.
"One jacket design uses an outline of the band’s classic ‘Licks’ logo, while the other is a reworking of the photographic artwork from the Exile On Main Street album.

"Because of the popularity of the pieces, we will be making some more, but only a limited run.”
The exhibition is the biggest project music merchandise firm Bravado has undertaken and UK managing director David Boyne said: “Our vision was to work with quintessentially British brands for whom premium quality and individuality are of the utmost importance.”
