YouTube has become a lucrative space for creators to showcase their videos and in some cases, earn huge amounts of money. In fact, some YouTubers have earned tens of millions in just one year.
Here are the top ten highest paid YouTubers in 2020, according to Forbes:
10. Jeffree Star- £10.81 million
Star’s beauty channel garnered 600 million views between June 2019 and 2020 and his makeup line is even more profitable.
These gaudy numbers are in spite of the controversies surrounding Star, stemming from allegations of sexual assault and self-described historical racist behaviour.
9. David Dobrik- £11.17 million
Dobrik started his vlog on YouTube in 2015 and has grown his fanbase to 18.3 million subscribers.
Leader of the popular YouTube collaborative ‘The Vlog Squad’, Dobrik’s has also appeared on the big screen as a voice actor in The Angry Birds Movie 2.

8. Blippi (Stevin John)- £12.25 million
33-year-old John plays the role of Blippi on his children’s entertainment channel, and has made some serious money for doing so.
His videos, designed to educate and entertain children, have been viewed 8.2 billion times.
7. Nastya (Anastasia Radzinskaya)- £13.3 million
The Russian Radzinskaya is just seven years old, but has already achieved fame through her wildly popular YouTube channel.
She has also branched out onto TikTok, where she has 5.2 million followers.

6. Preston Arsement- £13.69 million
Arsement plies his trade on YouTube as a player of the video game Minecraft among other games.
The 27-year-old charges users to access Minecraft worlds that he has created.
5. Markiplier (Mark Fischbach)- £14.05 million
Fischbach specialises in documenting playthroughs of video games and in May 2021, launched his own podcast ‘Distractible’
His channel has over 16.2 billion views and Fischbach has over 29.7 million subscribers.
4. Rhett and Link- £14.41 million
Rhett McLaughlin and Charles Neal started their YouTube talk show ‘Good Mythical Morning’ in 2012 and have thrived over the years.
The Good Mythical Morning channel has over 17.1 million subscribers and fans can also pay for exclusive content.
3. Dude Perfect- £16.58 million
Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garret Hilbert, Cody Jones and Tyler Toney make up Dude Perfect and their stunt videos have amassed a large following.
The five men are former college roommates and together they have managed to rack up 56.6 million subscribers.
2. Mr. Beast (Jimmy Donaldson)- £17.3 million
Donaldson mixes stunts and humour for his videos, and has taken on such challenges as freezing himself in ice.
Besides making him very wealthy, his YouTube channel also serves as a vehicle to advertise his merchandise line.
1. Ryan Kaji- £21.26 million
Remarkably, the person topping the list is just nine years old.
Kaji has become a YouTube sensation with his videos of toy reviews and more, earning the youngster a massive amount of money.
