A typical van driver will travel 11,440 miles, consume nearly 800 mugs of 'builder's tea', and load/unload their vehicle over 300 times a year, according to a survey.
The poll, which involved 500 individuals who work in trae jobs and own a van, discovered that they typically work eight hours a day and keep almost 30 different tools in their vehicle.

On average, they utilise their van twice a week for non-work-related tasks and eat their lunch in their vehicle on four out of five working days.
The survey found drivers spend 27 hours each week in their vans and 52% admit to feeling like they live in their van more than their own home.
Sten Saar, CEO of Zego, the company that commissioned the research, commented: "Vans are an essential part to a trade person's life. They serve not only as a mode of transportation, but also as a mobile workshop and a place to take a break and have lunch."
The survey, revealed that 26% take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy van, something that 35% are extremely proud of and 57% feel insulted by the stereotype that van drivers are aggressive road users.
Sten Saar commented: "Van drivers have a special job and spend a lot of days on the road between jobs. With the right insurance, van drivers can focus on their jobs, knowing they're covered no matter what happens. This support helps them do their best every day, mile after mile."
Further insights into the lifestyle of a van owner revealed that 18% usually have cereal for breakfast, compared to 14% who opt for a sausage sandwich. More than seven in 10 (77%) are frequent meat eaters, while a mere 3% are vegetarian.
Sport (60%), films (51%) and comedy shows (38%) top the list of what they watch on TV, with Capital FM and talkSPORT being their go-to radio stations while driving.
