Models from Porsche, Renault and Lamborghini are among a range of used vehicles identified as future classic cars by motoring specialists.

James Ellis, expert for Aviva Private Clients and Aviva’s partner, The Classic Valuer, has pointed out models that classic car collectors should keep their eyes on.

The tips have been made ahead of this year’s Salon Privé Concours held at the historic Blenheim Palace from Wednesday, August 28.

The four-day event celebrates the luxury and elegance of the high-end automotive world with a jaw-dropping collection of models set to attend.

Supercars is very much the theme for Aviva’s picks with these models likely to soar in value later down the line.

Take a look at the four cars set to skyrocket in the next few years below.

James admits the Clio has a “cult following” among hot hatch fans with the model once considered the spiritual home for young drivers.

However, the model is now becoming a “desirable collector’s item” which only means values are likely to rise.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, he explained: “Only produced from 2000 to 2005, the limited numbers available make a well-maintained vehicle a rare find and its unique engineering and design spec provide a distinctive driving experience that sets it apart from other hatchbacks.”

Porsche Boxster (986) S Anniversary Edition

This gorgeous Boxster can be picked up for around £20,000 but Aviva warns annual costs can vary based on appreciation.

James said: “Though often harshly judged, a 986 Boxster with a manual gearbox is a fine car.

“However, with over 164,000 Boxster 986’s rolling off the production line, the focus is on the last of the line Anniversary Edition - the most powerful and rarest by far, with only 1,964 cars produced.”

This drop-dead gorgeous four-wheel drive Lamborghini hit the roads back in 2010 and will still send tongues wagging today.

The model not only looks stunning but petrolheads are sure to be impressed with top speeds of 212mph and 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds.

“There are only 186 of this particular edition available in the world.  In 2018, you could pick one up for £200,000, but one sold last year for almost double the price.”

This stunning supercar has previously been dubbed the “spiritual successor to the Murray-devised McLaren F1”.

The model is fitted with a naturally aspirated, 4.0L, V12 Cosworth engine and packs a punch with top speeds of 226mph.

The model is also fitted with the world’s lightest supercar gearbox ever made, weighing just 82kg.

James said: “The carbon fibre construction makes the vehicle approximately a third lighter than the average supercar and with simple lines, a pure shape, and dramatic gullwing doors, it will look fresh for years to come.

“Every detail has been carefully considered for an immersive driving experience with the driver’s central seating position, flanked by two passenger seats, providing exceptional driver visibility."
