Audi has just given you another reason to want to buy the new E-tron electric car
AUDI has released pictures of the new E-Tron electric car’s interior and it looks like as good as you’d hope.
Audi E-Tron is the company’s first electric car, which has been teased over the course of a long drawn out campaign ahead of its release.
The car is expected to launch next year and will go on to compete with other electric SUVs such as the Tesla Model X.
A number of teasers of the car have been revealed over the past months, but the car is largely disguised by camouflage to veil its final production exterior.
Now, however, the German car manufacturer has given customers a glimpse inside the car at its interior.
The VW owned carmaker has really trumped with the clean and quality design on the E-Tron.
It was unveiled in the Royal Danish Playhouse in Copenhagen, giving people an insight into what features to expect.
The dashboard has a wraparound design which is flanked by two new screens which display the image from the cameras that have replaced the wing mirrors.
Audi has incorporated a number of successful design features of its current production cars such as the virtual cockpit which sits in front of the driver, replacing the instrument cluster with digital displays.
At the centre of the dashboard in the central column are two screens, one which deals with the infotainment and navigation at the top of the dashboard and one lower down that deals with things such as the car’s climate and other comfort features.
A 3D sound of the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System which comprises 16 loudspeakers and an amplifier delivering up to 705 watts of power has also been added.
In addition to this, Audi also appears to have introduced an ambient lighting system into the vehicle that can be configured to display a number of different colours.
The German carmaker also says it has worked on the car’s acoustic performance to ensure it is quiet inside the cabin.
It is big enough for five occupants with a decent sized luggage space due to the long wheelbase and battery pack being mounted into the floor.
