Moist banana bread
Moist banana bread is a delectable dessert with loads of flavour. The treat is so easy to make that even your children can be involved at every stage. Serves 5.
INGREDIENTS
150g flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3-4 tablespoons sugar
2 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
1 egg
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
4-5 drops of vanilla extract
A handful of chopped nuts and fruits pecan and fruits such as blueberries, cherries, raisins and cranberries
Please note that you can make this banana bread without nuts
METHOD
1 Preheat oven to 175C/155C fan/ gas 4.
2 Sieve together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar.
3 Add the other ingredients, one by one, and beat well.
4 Pour the batter into a pre-greased cake tin and bake for 40-45 minutes or until done.
5 Slice it and serve as a teatime snack.
