Clean air fryer no scrubbing needed – just use heat and free ingredient

After using your air fryer to prepare a mouthwatering meal, it can feel like a whole other marathon to wash it out. Instead of scouring away at your air fryer, there are some other methods you can try to get it squeaky clean that claim there is no scrubbing needed.

"Water and heat will help lift off cooked-on grease and debris easily, so add a cup of water to your air fryer basket, turn it on a high setting for a few minutes, and leave it alone.

“You'll find when you open the drawer that a lot of debris and gunk will have effortlessly lifted without any scrubbing or soap,” per The Pioneer Woman.

Previously, another way to get rid of gunky air fryer grease without too much scrubbing was revealed.

Taking to advice platform Reddit seeking help, someone inquired about an easy way to sanitize their air fryer.

They wrote: “Hi I was wondering if anybody knows any cleaning hacks, because I have been told that cleaning air fryers can be notoriously difficult.”

One person had a very straightforward way that involves you basically doing little to nothing.

You just have to be sure to do it before you start eating. By the time you’re done eating, your air fryer will have had the grease lifted.

They said: “What type do you have? I have the bucket style. After I cook while it is warm, put warm water and soap in the bucket.

“Let sit while you eat. By the time you finish eating, use a sponge to clean. Problem solved.”

With another simple hack, someone else wrote: “Boil some water in a kettle and use that to dissolve any fats.”
