Expert Dr Federica Amati has explained simple diet changes that can leave you full while cutting out the habit of eating unhealthy snacks.
A leading nutritionist has explained one of the 'simplest' changes you can make that will 'set you up' for the day ahead while maintaining a healthy diet.
Dr Federica Amati from ZOE is a leading expert in nutrition, having worked with the World Health Organisation.
She has now revealed a change to your morning routine that could help you feel better throughout the day.
Speaking to Gabby Logan on her Mid Point podcast, she said: "Our daily food choices are the biggest tool to impact our health, it's every day incremental impact on our health."
Dr Amati was asked by a podcast listener if she had any advice on easy ways to change-up your nutrition when juggling a busy day-to-day schedule.
She explained: "If you're a breakfast eater then breakfast is the simplest thing you can do, you can improve your breakfast to set you up for the rest of the day.
"So make your breakfast really fibre rich, have plants and make it satiating.
"Make it something that can make you really full and energised.

"If you're not a breakfast eater, then about 25 percent of your calories come from snacks.
"So focus on your snacks, make them really healthy, you can undo quite a lot of a good diet if you're eating not great snacks."
Dr Amati explained snacks such as fresh fruits, mixed nuts, hummus and vegetables all make perfectly health on-the-go snacks.
