An aspiring chef has shared a method he learned from a restaurant to create the "tastiest chicken ever."

Taking to X, Dr Ndi MuVenda uplaoded a clip flaunting his culinary skills, and the video quickly amassed some 10million views. The content creator began by placing dozens of toothpicks in the raw meat, before placing it in a half-filled pan of vegetable oil.

"Next, fry for one minute on each side," he said. After removing the toothpics, Dr MuVenda continued: "Add two tablespoons of white vinegar, one teaspoon of salt and brush this mixture all over the chicken."

Continuing the recipe, he combined 50ml of soy sauce and single teaspoons of chilli flakes, oregano, garlic powder and sweet paprika, before brushing it all over. "Add three medium potatoes cut into small pieces," Dr MuVenda added.

Finally, he recommended combining it with 200g of cherry tomatoes, one onion cut into strips, a courgette also in strips, a diced green pepper and a diced red pepper. Season the lot with teaspoons of salt, black pepper and sweet paprika for the perfect meal.

Dr MuVenda concluded: "One teaspoon of fine herbs - add a generous drizzle of olive oil and take to a pre-heated oven of 350 degrees (175C) and roast for one hour."

"I can’t wait to try this and put my own twist on it," gushed on X user in response. "I don’t understand the purpose of deep frying for 1 minute on each side when hardly any mallard reaction took place," admitted another. "But everything else looks pretty good especially the sauce."

Whilst a third drooled: "Wow! This definitely looks unique too."

Elsewhere, other X users were quick to criticise the doctor's approach. "AVOID vegetable oil frying at beginning," one person said. "Rest is fine, but chicken will definitely need little more time."

Another asked: "What are you wasting all those toothpicks for? What does that even do? Gonna be dry as hell. You know how much oil costs these days? Famous restaurant my a**."

Scores moresaid the chicken looked like Pinhead, the main character of the 1987 British supernatural horror film, Hellraiser.
