Slugs sometimes eat the leaves of plants (especially seedlings), ripening fruits and vegetables, and decaying plant matter.

Extensive feeding can lead to a weak or dying plant. There is a tried and true method that will help you get rid of your slugs so they don't completely destroy your plants.

“The easiest way to remove slugs from your garden,” Kia Jade, who is an Urban Gardener, wrote in a TikTok video before diving into her instructions.

First, you’re going to purchase a cheap beer and get some shallow containers. Next, find where the slugs hang out and place the container half into the soil.

The content creator explained of the process: “They usually don’t survive the beer but if they do, I take them on a long walk to a faraway bush and throw them in it.”

Pour in the beer and leave it overnight. The next morning, check to see how many slugs you’ve captured. The content creator caught up to five slugs.

People left comments on the helpful hack. One person said: "I tried this. It worked too well. I cannot unsee that filled container."
