PRINCESS EUGENIE will marry Jack Brooksbank in a wedding ceremony on October 12, but is the next royal bride taller than Meghan Markle? The younger sister of Princess Beatrice is said to be the UK average height.
Princess Eugenie, 28, is ninth in line to the throne, but how tall is she? The next royal wedding bride, who will marry Jack Brooksbank, 31, on October 12, is more petite than you might think.
In fact, she is shorter than Meghan Markle, 36, who married Prince Harry, 33, earlier this year.
Meghan, who stands at 5 foot 7 inches, is often considered shorter than she is.
This is because she is pictured surrounded by taller member of the royal family.
For instance, Meghan’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s height is a model esque 5 foot 10 inches.
Princess Eugenie is significantly shorter in height compared to Meghan Markle
Prince Harry's height is an even taller 6 foot 1 inches – far above the UK average height for a man, which is 5 foot 9 inches.
This means Meghan often has a hefty height difference with her husband.
Princess Eugenie, meanwhile, stands at just 5 foot 4 inches – the UK average height for a woman.
However, she is often pictured with her older sister, Princess Beatrice, 29, who is also 5 foot 4 inches.
The exact height of her fiancé, Jack, is unknown, however, there is a much smaller height difference between the pair compared to Meghan and Harry.
Princess Eugenie’s love of heeled shoes is another reason she appears taller in pictures.
Eugenie wears either heeled boots or elegant stiletto heels when out in public to add to her height.
She is also rarely pictured alongside the “working royals” – including Meghan, Harry and Kate.
This is because Eugenie is not expected to attend official royal engagements.
Therefore, she is more likely to mingle with the other royals at private royal events which are not photographed.
Does Princess Eugenie have a job? The royal, who has a net worth of £3.6 million, works full-time in London.
She holds a director position at Hauser & Wirth, a contemporary art gallery in Mayfair, London.
Speaking about her job in the past, Princess Eugenie told The Telegraph that people are “surprised” to learn she works full-time.
"What might people be surprised to learn? That I have a full-time job,” she told the publication.
"I've loved art since I was very little. I knew I definitely wouldn't be a painter, but I knew this was the industry for me," she adds.
