Mum's £1 'game-changer' laundry hack could save parents doing hours of washing
The simple time-saving laundry hack has been described as "game-changing" and the "tip of the year" by fellow mums.
Fed up of spending hours upon hours on your family’s near-constant piles of laundry?
Well, fear not because one savvy TikTok mum has figured out a way of saving hours on the thankless task - and it only costs £1.
Social Media guru The Organised Mum - who calls herself a ‘Housework PT’ and boasts 15,000 followers - has credited the humble laundry bag with saving her time when it comes to laundry day.
She simply gives each member of her household a net to put their dirty socks and underwear in throughout the week, before chucking them straight in the machine and tumble dryer in their bags. This terrifyingly simple hack means nobody’s delicates get mixed up, or worse, lost.
“When they're dry you give them back and they can pair their own socks, you don't lose any socks and you save hours with the laundry," the social media star explains.
Jennifer Shaw from Plumbworld says: “This is a brilliant hack for all those tired parents who just don’t have time to pair up every single sock - or the money to replace the ones that go missing in the well-known ‘sock black hole’.
“And better yet - a laundry bag is a brilliant way of keeping delicate things like underwear from being ruined in the wash.
"It’s a really nifty little thing to have in your home - and for as little as £1, it’s a no-brainer!”
The Organised Mum, whose real name is Gemma Bray, adds that buying everyone a different coloured net bag makes life even easier - literally saving parents hours by the end of the week.
