iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini prices slashed as Apple reveals iPhone 13 coming this month
THE iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini received a huge price cut in the run-up to Apple unveiling its iPhone 13 range.
This week marked a huge date for Apple fans, with the Cupertino tech giant holding its September 2021 event on Tuesday - where the iPhone 13 line-up was announced. And in the run-up to the 'California Streaming' event a number of last year's iOS smartphones - the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini - received a major price cut. Online retailer Very slashed the price of these 2020 iPhone handsets by up to £120.
The iPhone 12 mini 64GB was the cheapest of the bunch, with the handset typically costing £699.
But Very cut the price of the pint-sized smartphone to just £579.
As the name suggests, the iPhone 12 mini is the smallest device in the iPhone 12 range - with a 5.4inch AMOLED display.
If you miss the days when smartphones could easily be used in one hand then this is the handset for you.
Elsewhere, the iPhone 12 - which has a 6.1inch display - has also had its price reduced at Very across all storage sizes.

The iPhone 12 64GB and iPhone 12 128GB both had its price reduced by £120 to £679 and £729 respectively.
While the iPhone 12 256GB price has been reduced by £45, from £874 to £829.
As you can imagine, these deals have been extremely popular. In the days that followed the offer going live the 64GB and 256GB handsets sold out at Very. But - at the time of writing - the 128GB iPhone 12 deal is still in stock.
Very has also offered price cuts on other Apple handsets such as the iPhone 11, which - if you're happy getting a phone that's a few years old - could come in handy.
Elsewhere, if you're looking to pick up an iPhone at a great price then Sky Mobile has also launched a range of deals in the run-up to the iPhone 13 launch as well.
The deals - which went live ahead of iPhone 13 pre-orders opening this Friday - offer savings of £288 on iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini models.
The iPhone 12 is available on Sky Mobile from £23 a month while the iPhone 12 mini is available from just £19 a month.
Apple unveil their brand new purple iPhone 12
The iPhone 12 handsets are largely similar to the iPhone 12 mini, with the size the big (no pun intended) difference.
Both handsets are powered by the A14 Bionic chip, have an AMOLED display, feature the same camera and are missing the LiDAR Scanner seen on the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models.
If you didn't upgrade your iPhone last year, but usually stick to the cheaper range of handsets, then there's also one other big difference you'll notice.
The iPhone 12 was the first Apple handsets to feature AMOLED displays across all devices.
Previously lower cost iPhones such as the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR had a Liquid Retina HD LCD display, with AMOLED screens reserved for the more expensive handsets.
The iPhone 12 line-up also saw Apple introduce another big design shake-up.
With the 2020 iOS handsets the curved edges seen on the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 are long gone.
In its place are more square aluminium edges, while the iPhone 12 devices boast less vibrant colours than the 11 and XR.
One of the other big additions with the iPhone 12 range is the return of MagSafe, which opened the door for plenty of extra accessories that can easily magnetically stick to your device.
All iPhone 12 phones also support super fast 5G connections.
With the iPhone 12 range Apple also slimmed down the packaging, which means when you receive your shiny new smartphone it'll be in a much smaller box.
Sadly though, you'll also be missing on the bundled-in EarPods and charging brick that was included with previous iPhones.
Apple said this was all part of their drive to have net zero climate impact across its entire business by 2030.
