The lead up to the World Cup and the European Championship always cause mixed emotions, from childlike excitement to existential dread. But that’s just life as an England fan, even more so since the team's success across the last few campaigns.

It seems like just last week that France shattered our hopes at the Qatar World Cup, but somehow the Euros is just days away. While an international tournament is always a stressful experience, it’s without a doubt a summer highlight for football fans.

Nothing beats pulling on a tatty old England shirt and getting some mates round to enjoy a few drinks for 90 nail-biting minutes. For those that aren’t lucky enough to be jetting off to Germany to see the action in person, a high-spec smart TV is a must for getting the best experience out of the tournament.

These days, quality devices can be much more affordable and come with a range of snazzy features, so fans can feel like they’re right there in the stadium without having to break the bank. Those looking to invest in a shiny new device still have time to pick one up before the first whistle sounds next Friday (June 14), with many big-name brands currently offering huge discounts.

LG smart TVs are up to 20 percent off at LG and John Lewis, while Sky is offering a huge price drop on its own 4K QLED smart TV. Over at Samsung, customers can claim up to £500 cashback on a range of super-high-spec smart TVs, including new 2024 4K and 8K models.

So if you want to upgrade your TV so you can cheer on England over the next month, read on for a round-up of our favourite TVs for watching the Euros.

John Lewis customers can get this 75” LG UR78 for £629.10, almost £70 off its usual £699 price tag. The TV offers a ‘smarter’ viewing experience thanks to its a5 AI Processor 4K Gen6 that optimises picture and sound quality alongside 4K HDR10 Pro that create vivid colour and stunning detail.

Its screen has four times the number of pixels than standard Full HD TV that ensure incredible realism with natural motion, while intuitive AI Acoustic Tuning uses a microphone on the remote to tweak the TV’s audio settings based on the size and shape of the room. The UR78 can also upscale non-4K content and adapt to different brightness levels.

Customers can also spread the cost from 12 to 24 months. The TV is powered by Samsung’s ‘most powerful’ 4K processor and Quantum Matrix Technology complete with the brand’s highest 4K density of Mini LEDs – roughly the size of a grain of sand – which combine to deliver staggering detail.
