M&S shoppers snap up 'flattering' crease-free plissé trousers perfect for holidays

Marks and Spencer shoppers are rushing to snap up a comfortable plissé trousers perfect for holidays and fit for a work staple. The M&S Collection Plissé Wide Leg Trousers are not staying on the shelves for long as the item has been sold 35 times in the last 48 hours.

The pants are available in two colours, dark khaki and black, but the former one went out of stock online and sizes for the classic black colour are selling out fast. The £39.50 pair is different than your usual trousers, the tightly pleated "plissé" style has a modern twist to your chinos and jeans. 

It's cut to a floaty wide-legged fit and high elasticated waist for comfort - which shoppers won't have to worry a thing when enjoying a barbecue party or food festival.

Available in three lengths - short, regular and long - shoppers gave 4.75 out of 5 star reviews about this "smart and stylish" pair. One said: "Lovely trousers that hang and drape really well, flattering too. They look lovely on, and can be dressed up or down, no creasing either!"

A second customer shared: "I bought these for a river cruise to wear in the evening although you could wear them at any time of the day. The fabric hangs beautifully. I ordered a smaller size and feel it fit neater and there is no extra bulk around the waist. The crotch does not hang down as some trousers do."

"Love, love these trousers," a third echoed. "At first I thought they looked rather unusual but once I tried them on and saw how smart and different they looked to what I usualy pick, I was so delighted."

The M&S Collection Plissé Wide Leg Trousers are priced £39.50 a pair and it's made with polyester. If you are looking for a soft-to-touch fabric, M&S' Autograph collection offers a premium Jersey Plissé Wide Leg Trousers for £55 in a light beige colour called "opaline". However, sizes are extremely limited online.

River Island also has plissé trousers in either beige or black but these £30 pair only comes with one standard length. Japanese lifestyle brand Uniqlo's plissé trousers are available in beige, black and blue and they are retailed for £24.90 a pair.
