How much did Kate Middleton spend on her royal tour wardrobe? A whopping £55,000!
AS THE 19-day royal tour of Australia and New Zealand comes to an end, we look back at the Duchess of Cambridge's sartorial choices and see what her clothing bill racks up to...
The Duchess of Cambridge is a style icon.
She is known for being thrifty with her outfits and her love of the British high street.
However, thanks to an array of custom-made clothes and money-can't-buy jewels, her wardrobe bill for her recent tour to Australia and New Zealand totals just under £55,000.
While the 32-year-old did wear pieces we've seen her in before, such as her £35 Hobbs dress and trademark L.K. Bennett nude heels, made-to-order pieces like her Jenny Packham dress made her luggage haul quite costly.
Fortunately for Kate, she reached the end of her tour today without any major fashion disasters.
On arrival in Wellington she nearly flashed her underwear to the waiting media when a gust of wind blew up her Catherine Walker coat-dress.
And she nearly stumbled into grapevines while in Queenstown - but apart from that she managed to escape unscathed.
We price up Kate's outfits from the tour...

REGAL IN RED
Kate was greeted by crowds in New Zealand as she stepped off the plane in a red double-breasted Catherine Walker coat-dress (£7,000).
The French designer was also a favourite of William's mother, Princess Diana.
Kate accessorised the striking outfit with a Gina Foster hat (priced upwards of £300), shoes by London boutique Emmy (£400) and a diamond and platinum silver fern brooch, which was loaned to her by HM The Queen.
BY GEORGE!
Prince George attended his first official royal engagement - a play date - at Governor's House in New Zealand.
Kate wore a black and white knitted dress by American designer Tory Burch (£390), which has now sold out, complete with her black Emmy shoes, Annousha pearl drop earrings (£1,090) and Cartier Ballon Bleu watch (£3,850).
TRUE BLUE
Returning to one of her favourite designers, Kate wore a custom-made Alexander McQueen military coat (£2,345) to a WWI Commemorative event in Blenheim.
She teamed the outfit with a Stuart Weitzman Muse clutch (£245), Prada heels (approximately £400) and sapphire earrings which were made to compliment her engagement ring.
BELLE OF THE BALL
The Duchess gave a nod to New Zealand at her first official evening event by wearing a bespoke Jenny Packham dress (£3,100) adorned with a fern, which is the country's emblem.
Kate dazzled in the gown at the portrait unveiling of HM The Queen in Wellington.
She paired the dress with a black Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag (£495) and Jimmy Choo heels (£425).
HIGH STREET QUEEN
Kate's royal tour wardrobe wasn't just full of bespoke and high-end designer pieces.
When attending a yacht race in Auckland she wore a Zara blazer (£79.99), ME+EM breton top (£48), J Brand jeans (priced approximately £230) and Corkswoon wedges by Stuart Weitzman (£240).
CROWN JEWEL
The Duchess looked demure in a green Erdem coat (£1,765) and 1930s-style tea dress by British brand Suzannah (£475), which was hidden underneath, as she visited the Rainbow's Place children's hospice in Waikato.
She completed the look with a pair of Episode "Angel" pumps (£40) and her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag.
Prince William reportedly said that he thought the outfit was "too bright".
AQUAMARINE DREAM
Kate brightened up a dull day in Dunedin by arriving at the airport in an aquamarine dress by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead (£1,200).
The Duchess is a fan of this dress and has previously worn it in powder pink.
Kate topped off her bright outfit with a bespoke Jane Taylor hat (approximately £400), The Queen's brooch, a deep green clutch by Emmy (£200) and the London designer's matching shoes (£400).
CASUAL KATE
During their visit to Dunedin, Kate and William met New Zealand rugby captain Richie McCaw.
The Duchess looked laid back in a Jonathan Saunders cream jumper (£370), her J Brand jeans and a pair of chic Mint Velvet suede grey pumps (£89).
CHECK MATE
For a wine tasting tour in Queenstown, Kate returned to the casual outfit she had worn previously on in Auckland.
However, instead of wearing a breton top, she smartened up the look with a checked shirt from high-street chain Gap (£29.99).
QUEEN OF HEARTS
The Duchess is known for recycling her clothes and she wore this Luisa Spagnoli suit (£495) to one of her first official events back in 2011.
For the royal tour the skirt length was made slightly longer and she paired the chic scarlet two-piece with her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag, Episode "Angel" pumps, and her Annousha pearl-drop earrings.
CHANEL-INSPIRED
Kate supported her host country's designers by wearing a two-piece suit by New Zealand born Rebecca Taylor, during a visit to the Royal New Zealand Police College.
The Duchess has previously worn the "Sparkle Tweed" outfit (£600) back in 2012.
This time she paired it with her Prada pumps, Stuart Weitzman Muse clutch, Cartier Ballon Bleu watch and Annousha pearl drop earrings.
SUNNY DELIGHT
After waving goodbye to New Zealand, Kate chose a striking dress for her debut appearance in Australia.
However, the custom-made yellow Roksanda Ilincic dress (£950) didn't go down too well with Prince William who said she looked "like a banana".
Kate paired the eye-catching dress with a Mappin & Webb "Fortune" necklace (£3,950) and her wardrobe staple - L.K. Bennett 'Sledge' pumps (£218).
IT'S A WRAP
Kate's Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress (£292) sold out minutes after she was papped wearing it in the Blue Mountains.
She paired the bold print with her Stuart Weitzman Muse clutch, Cartier Ballon Bleu watch and Corkswoon wedges by Stuart Weitzman (£240).
BEACH BABE
Does the Duchess wear flip-flops? Of course not!
Kate wore five-inch Stuart Weitzman espadrille cork wedges (£235) and a Zimmermann brodeire anglaise summer dress (£275) while visiting life-savers at Manly beach in Sydney.
BLOOMING LOVELY
L.K. Bennett is one of Kate's favorite brands and she chose their Lasa Poppy dress (£245) for a royal away day in Brisbane.
She paired the pretty print with her Prada pumps, Cartier Ballon Bleu watch, sapphire earrings and a clutch bag by Australian luxury leather brand Oroton (£66.20).
DOVE GREY DREAM
For the second time on the royal tour Kate chose an outfit by British designer Alexander McQueen.
She wore the custom-made dove grey coat (approximately £1,573) with a bespoke Jane Taylor hat (approximately £400) and L.K. Bennett heels (£180) to the Easter Sunday service at St Andrew's Cathedral.
STUNNING IN STELLA
Kate arrived in Canberra looking nothing but perfect.
She has worn her royal-blue Stella McCartney dress (approximately £1,000) before to two events in 2012, and looked elegant once again as she paired it with her Emmy courts.
MELLOW YELLOW
The royals arrived in Sydney's Taronga Zoo to meet with koalas and bilbys. Something Prince George seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
Kate wore a pretty pastel yellow dress, from a designer that did not wish to be named, which she wore to the tour of the Solomon Islands in 2012.
She paired the dress with her Stuart Weitzman espadrille cork wedges.
ELEGANT OUTBACK
Once again on the royal tour Kate wore an outfit by Serbian but London-based designer Roksanda Ilincic.
The taupe cap-sleeved dress (£575) looked elegant with her L.K. Bennett pumps, Catherine Zoraida earrings (£140) and an Asprey necklace complete with a gold acorn (£2,900), mushroom (£3,900) and oak leaf charm.
SUNSET STROLL
For the royal trip to the breathtaking Ayers Rock, Kate chose a white and taupe patterned Hobbs dress (£35) which she purchased in 2012, espadrille wedges from Dune (£85) and her Catherine Zoraida earrings.
PRETTY IN PINK
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Kate dons a custom-made Alexander McQueen dress (£1,012) with plunging neckline and pretty peplum for a visit to a youth centre in Adelaide.
Her trusty L.K.Bennett pumps, L.K. Bennett clutch (approximately £200), Cartier Ballon Bleu watch and Annousha pearl drop earrings, made it an elegant look.
GREEN GODDESS
Kate let her statement Catherine Walker coat-dress (approximately £7,000) do the talking in Canberra.
She visited the capital to plant a tree at the National Arboretum.
The Duchess wore her L.K.Bennett pumps and kept accessories to a minimal.
LOVELY IN LACE
Kate looked the height of sophistication in a Lela Rose ivory-coloured dress (£869) with her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag and Emmy heels.
She offset the dress with silver jewels including her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch and a diamond bracelet given to her by Prince Charles.
FAREWELL OZ
Kate opted for another coat-dress for her final royal tour outfit.
She and Prince William attended the Anzac Day March and Commemorative Service, which remembers all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars.
The Emilia Wickstead coat-dress (approximately £1,200) was paired with Prada pumps, Stuart Weitzman Muse clutch and a bespoke Jane Taylor hat (approximately £400).
