5.23pm update: Olly steals the show
Olly, a scruffy rescue dog, stole the show at Crufts in 2017 when he tumbled and face-planted during an agility jump attempt at the world’s biggest dog show - the clip soon went viral.
His owner, Karen Parker, said: “I didn’t think he could top last year’s performance, when he ran into the crowd rather than around the course. He’s like that all the time, he’s insane! One of the presenters showing the clip on TV news said, ‘We should all have a bit of Olly in us’ and I thought ‘I don’t think you need that!’
But the positive pooch has a sad backstory as he was dumped by the gates of a Blue Cross pet rehoming centre inside a cat carrier at just six weeks old.
So to see him back on the course, with more personality and just doing his own thing is everything we need on a Friday afternoon.

4.11pm update: RSPCA tweets about Crufts
The RSPCA has been tweeting about Crufts, with both positive and negative comments.
One tweet read: “It is really nice to hear comments about a dogs personality rather than their appearance on #Crufts.”
Another said: “It is great to see the bond between the young handlers and their dogs doing agility! #Crufts”
However, they were sad to see some docked tails in competitions as dogs use their tails to communicate.
“Dogs with altered tail structures (e.g very curly or short tails) can have trouble communicating properly with other dogs as they can’t raise or wag their tails clearly #Crufts #LetDogsBeDogs.”
3.29pm update: James Middleton at Crufts
James Middleton, the Duchess of Cambrige's brother, has appeared at Crufts with Pets for Therapy.
Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983 to enhance the health and wellbeing in the community through animals.

One crazy pup was taking part in the Rescue Dog Agility when he decided to ignore his handler and choose his own route around the ring.
Running to people stood in the ring, avoiding the obstacles and dancing away from his handler this pooch stole the show.
The crowd laughed as the tiny black and white dog bolted around the ring.
1.44pm update: Rescue Dog Agility takes place
Now rescue dogs from various rehoming centres are taking part in agility.
These dogs can be mixed or pure breeds, and may not be as polished as the main competition, but they all give the obstacles their all.
1.05pm update: Films and musicals are a popular inspiration for these dancing dogs
Songs from films such as Nightmare Before Christmas and musical Wicked have been chosen by owners for their dogs to complete their heelwork rounds too.
Defying Gravity from the hit musical wicked saw owner don a witches hat and twirl around with her prancing pooch, who cleverly retrieved a broom for her human.
