Huge shark terrifies fishermen in boat just off CORNWALL
JUST when you thought it was safe to go out in a boat... in CORNWALL.
A basking shark was spotted off the Cornish coast in Falmouth Bay
An incredible photograph of a huge shark dwarfing a small boat emerged this week off the Cornish coast in Falmouth Bay.
Rather than a man-eater, the sea creature photographed is a protected – and harmless – basking shark.
Although these monster fish can grow up to 26ft in length, they are plankton eaters and have very small teeth.
The astonishing photo was taken by Peter Coles who was aboard an AK Wildlife Cruises boat.

"They always put a tingle down my spine.
"This Birds Eye perspective is quite something..."
The snap was taken by Mr Coles as part of a trip filming for a NatureWatch documentary.
It comes just days after a group of fearless beachgoers helped to save a tiger shark which had become tangled in fishing lines – despite running the risk of being badly bitten.
Heartwarming footage shows several swimmers pulling the shark onto the shore after seeing it flapping frantically in the shallow waters on the Hawaiian coast.
