Voters have urged Suella Braverman to switch to Reform UK ahead of the general election next month.

The Conservative former home secretary shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, with highlights from her campaign in Fareham, near Portsmouth Harbour.

Social media users were quick to encourage her to defect to Reform UK, who gained Nigel Farage as a party leader and candidate this week.

One commented: "Switch to Reform and make a big difference."

Another said: "Time to defect to Reform Suella. The momentum has already shifted, make it explode!"

Ms Braverman was sacked as home secretary when she defied No 10 over an article accusing the Metropolitan Police of bias in the policing of protests in November last year.

She has been suggested as a possible candidate for Tory Party leader if Mr Sunak fails to win the election and stands down.

One social media user said: "When are you going to join Reform UK, Suella? You’re a good person in the wrong party."

In the video Ms Braverman had shared online, she could be seen pouring a pint at a local pub and asked viewers to judge how well she had done.

In the post's caption, she said: "We’re enjoying our positive campaign here in Fareham. Thank you to the team and to everyone for supporting."

One user said: "Looks a decent pint that Suella. Join Nigel for a pint and a chat."

Mr Farage visited a pub in Clacton on Tuesday where he launched his campaign bid to be an MP.

As Reform's former honourary president, he took over from leader Richard Tice.
