PRINCE CHARLES was left upset after the Queen avoided settling her differences with Camilla as soon as possible.
Queen 'snubbed' Camilla's private party for Charles says expert
Channel 5's Royal documentary, Secrets of the Royal Palaces saw royal experts discuss the relationships between family members. Royal experts Richard Kay and Victoria Howard insisted the Queen avoided "breaking bread" with Camilla by refusing to attend a party for Prince Charles's birthday. The pair agreed the Prince of Wales was left hurt by this gesture.
However, Mr Kay insisted that the Queen felt pressured into publicly dealing with the issue rather than privately.
The narrator Glynis Barber said: "At Highgrove, on Prince Charles's birthday, there was a private party,
"Camilla, very much at home there, played hostess, the Queen and Prince Philip stayed away.
"It has been said that Prince Charles was quite hurt by the Queen not attending that party."
