'So cringeworthy!' Meghan Markle's 'outlandish claim' blows up in her face, says expert
MEGHAN Markle's "outlandish claim" in The Cut interview was "so cringeworthy", a royal expert claimed.

In Meghan Markle's recent interview for The Cut magazine, the 41-year-old claimed that she was told by a cast member of London's The Lion King in 2019 that South Africans "rejoiced in the streets" when she married into the Royal Family, similar to when Nelson Mandela was "'freed from prison". Speaking on a recent episode of Royally Us, hosts Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross discussed the Duchess' "outlandish claim".
Following the cast member that Meghan referenced to claiming that he was "baffled" by her comment, Ms Garibaldi said: "So awkward."
Ms Ross added: "This is so cringe-worthy.
"I don't know, I just feel bad in every direction.
"That's such an outlandish claim for her to make."

She added: "The only South African cast member is like 'I didn't say that', so somewhere she, you know, recollections may vary.
"This is another example, you know, no one is guiding Meghan and saying we should fact check this, or are you sure you want to say this."
Ms Ross said: "There was so much in that Cut interview, and even some bits in the recent podcast, that are very easily fact checkable."
The timing for the release of The Cut interview has also been criticised, however the couple have been defended as Sussexes would have had "no control" of when it came out.
