Royal expert erupts at Prince Harry rejecting 'peace offerings' with uniform statement
Royal Expert Charles Rae clashed with fellow commentators over Prince Harry rejecting the Royal Family's "peace offerings" with what he branded a "salvo shot" of a statement over not wearing his unifrom at the Queen's funeral.
Harry 'completely wrong' to issue uniform statement says Rae
Prince Harry released a statement that responded to claims that he will be barred from wearing his military uniform at ceremonial events to mourn his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking on TalkTV, Mr Rae vented that Harry's statement ignored the Royal Family's "peace offerings", including King Charles' mention of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in his first speech as king, and described his statement as a "small ceasefire".
Mr Rae got into a heated debate with fellow royal commentator Emily Andrews, who believed that Harry's statement was itself a "peace offering".
Speaking of his statement, Mr Rae said: "Doesn't this underpin the fact that Charles mentioned Harry and Meghan in his marvellous speech?
"The fact that Prince William offered Harry to join him on that great walkabout, I mean I nearly fell off my chair when I saw them out together, I never thought I'd see that again.
"So, those are great peace offerings, olive branches."

After being asked if he saw Harry's statement as a peace offering, he replied: "No, I don't, I have only seen what's gone on, a small ceasefire."
It has been revealed that despite Harry not wearing his military uniform, an exception has been made for the Queen's son, disgraced Prince Andrew.
Speaking on this, Ms Andrews said: "I think they both should wear uniforms actually.
"I think it's right that Andrew should be allowed to wear it at the Vigil of the Princes at the Palace of Westminster."
She stated that this is because of the "visual representation" and added that military uniforms say "royalty" and that "its an exceptional circumstance".

Omid Scobie, a close friend of Meghan and Harry and the co-author of their book Finding Freedom, made the revelation about Harry's uniform on Twitter on Tuesday.
Mr Scobie reported a Sussex spokesperson confirmed: "[Prince Harry] will wear a morning suit throughout events honouring his grandmother.
"His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears and we respectfully ask that focus remains on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II."

The revelation comes after news that Harry was allegedly banned from wearing a military uniform at the final vigil at Westminster Hall.
This was following claims that Prince Andrew will still be allowed to as a "special mark of respect" for his late mother, despite having also stepped down from royal duties.
Coming to the Duke's defence, Mr Scobie tweeted that this is"no doubt a huge blow for the Duke of Sussex, who served for 10 years and this morning spoke of the Queen being his ''commander-in-chief'''.
