Palace fumes at Harry and Meghan as sources say 'no royal members' approached over Netflix
The first half of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new series has been released on Netflix.
Harry & Meghan: Explosive trailer for Netflix documentary
Following the release of the first three episodes, it now appears the Harry and Meghan snubbed the Royal Family in the process leading up to its release. Neither Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace nor any member of the family were approached for comment on the content of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Netflix series, it is understood.
The first episode of the Netflix series opened with words in white on a black background.
The text read: "This is a first-hand account of Harry & Meghan’s story, told with never before seen personal archive.
"All interviews were completed by August 2022.
"Members of the Royal Family declined to comment on the content within this series."
The first three episodes were released at around 8am this morning.
The final three episodes, as the docu-series is split into two parts, will be released on Netflix on December 15.
It has been claimed that Prince William and Kate won't watch the documentary themselves, although the King and William are reportedly ready to issue a "swift and robust" response to any "unjust claims" that the couple may make.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex already made several claims in their initial trailers for the programme.
This included that they had "no protection" from the Palace and the couple also accused aides of "planting stories" against them for a "dirty game'.

As well as the couple, the documentary will feature interviews with some of the people closest to them, including Meghan's mother, Doria and Meghan's niece, Ashleigh.
The series is the among the first of the couple's major projects since they left the Royal Family in 2020.
The couple signed the lucrative multi-million dollar deal with Netflix shortly after their royal exit.
