The new arrival made his appearance on Sunday January 7 and is seventh in line to the throne of Luxembourg.
Grand Duchess of Luxembourg on 'reality' of royal life
Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg have shared the first pictures of their new baby son, who has a rather unusual first name.
Prince Balthasar Félix Karl was born on January 7, a younger brother to the couple's other two children Princess Amalia and Prince Liam.
The name Balthasar has an appropriately royal significance, as it means 'God protects the King', and it was also the name of one of the three wise men who visited baby Jesus bearing gifts.
In an announcement posted on Monday, the royal court in Luxembourg said: "It is with great joy that we announce the birth of our son. The prince was born on January 7 2024 at the Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte.
"The newborn Prince will be named Balthasar Felix Karl. He weighs 3.220 kg and measures 50 cm. Prince Balthasar and Princess Claire are in perfect health."

Prince Balthasar is the seventh grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, who also appeared in the new family photos.
The relaxed images show Claire holding her new son in bed while her husband beams next to her, and Amalia and Liam are also seen cuddling their baby brother.
The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are proudly holding their new grandchild, who will now be seventh in line to the throne of the tiny European nation.

It's set to be a busy year for the Luxembourg monarchy, as Princess Alexandra confirmed she is expecting her first child in the spring.
Alexandra married her husband Nicolas Bagory last April, with the court announcing: "The Grand Duke, the Grand Duchess as well as the members of the two families are united in great happiness."
Luxembourg is ruled by the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess as heads of the Grand Ducal Family, whose eldest son Prince Guillaume is the Hereditary Grand Duke.
He has four younger siblings - Prince Félix, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sébastien, with the elder three children also having families of their own.
Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie have two sons, Prince Charles and Prince François, who arrived last March.
Prince Louis and his former wife Tessy Antony also have two boys of their own, Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah, although Louis renounced his right of succession before he was married.
