Meghan Markle 'deliberately' distanced herself from Prince Harry to 'save' own brand
Meghan Markle chose to distance herself when Prince Harry was promoting his memoir, Spare, as she didn't think it was the right move for him and wanted to protect her brand, a source claimed.
Prince Harry: Psychiatrict discusses memoir Spare
Meghan Markle purposely distanced herself from her husband, Prince Harry's, memoir Spare, as she didn't want to damage her own brand, a source has claimed.
Prince Harry released his explosive book last year which included many bombshell claims about the private lives of members of the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex accused his brother Prince William of physically attacking him, he wrote about his estranged relationship with his father, King Charles, and also claimed his stepmother Queen Camilla "sacrificed me on her personal PR altar".
But while Harry was promoting Spare through a series of interviews, Meghan seemed to be absent for most of it.
A source told the Telegraph that the Duchess of Sussex raised concerns over Harry's approach and whether the book was the right move for him, however, she fully supported her husband when he took that decision.

The source said: "Is this the way she would have approached things? Possibly not. But she will always back him and would never have got involved in promoting such a personal project.
"This was about his own life, his journey and his own perspective."
Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Kay claimed Meghan's strategy could "bear fruit" when she embarks on her next move.
He told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "There was a view I think by her handlers that her own brand could be damaged if she was seen to be very close to Harry, so she didn't go on any of the promotional tours for the book, join him for any of the interviews.

"She's allowed him to have a space on his own to deal with it and she’s equally stood back from all these court cases that he’s embarked on.
"I think that is a strategy and maybe it’ll bear fruit next year. She is looking actively, I think, for a role ... she wants to do something relevant. We heard lots of stories during the year that she was going to run for office. I don't think that's going to happen, not yet anyway.
"What they need to do going forward is build bridges in the United Kingdom [and] in particular with their family; perhaps get back onto social media in some way, don't be so hostile [to the media], be more open about what they’re doing. I think there's room for big change there if they want to."
