Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's silence backfires as Sussexes accused of 'looking guilty'
EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's silent approach to Endgame's release is slammed by a PR expert who claimed it only added "fuel to the fire".
Expert says Harry and Meghan need to 'find something new to say' in 2024
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "deafening silence" after Omid Scobie released his explosive book Endgame "added fuel to the fire" and made them look "even more guilty", a PR expert has claimed.
Endgame has been dominating the headlines ever since it hit the shelves last November. The book took aim at the Royal Family and unleashed a series of bombshell claims about members of the Firm.
It portrayed Prince William as "hot-headed" with a temper, while it also suggested there is rivalry between King Charles and the heir to the throne due to their "different opinions and approaches" to monarchy. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales was dubbed "Katie Keen" and was also described to be "cold and vacant" who had ignored Meghan Markle's "cry for help".

No member of the Royal Family commented on the claims and neither have Harry and Meghan. Sources claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were keen on "distancing themselves" from the book, however, they are known to have helped Scobie with his first one, Finding Freedom.
Now PR strategist, mentor and founder of PR with Perkes, Laura Perkes, blasted the couple's silent approach.
She exclusively told Express.co.uk that it only made them look like "they had something to hide".
Ms Perkes said: "Choosing to remain silent is often as telling, and more damaging than choosing to reply.
"Actions speak louder than words and in the case of Harry and Meghan, their silence made them look even more guilty.

"You could argue that a response would have looked like a retaliation and perhaps seen as a defence mechanism to mask their guilt.
"However, issuing a statement would have sent a strong signal from their camp that they weren't involved and wouldn't be discussing it further."
The PR expert added: "In this instance though, their silence did make it look like they had something to hide and added fuel to the fire."
She suggested that from their perspective it would seem they believe that "all publicity is good publicity" as that is the "only thing that keeps them in the public eye and maintains their presence in global media outlets".
But, she objected: "As a PR Strategist & Mentor my first response in a crisis is to respond to incidents as soon as possible in a bid to take control of the narrative and stop it from gaining traction and getting out of control.
"That's how rumours start and spread and how your reputation can be ruined in seconds."
