Princess Kate's style 'has the edge' over Meghan Markle due to this key reason
EXCLUSIVE: Princess Kate creates 'beautiful' silhouettes with her fashion choices, styling expert Lisa Talbot says.
Princess Kate and Meghan Markle's styles are closely watched around the world, but the future queen currently has the fashion edge for one reason. Personal stylist Lisa Talbot told Express.co.uk the Princess of Wales is more constrained when it comes to styling than the Duchess of Sussex, but still has it.
She said: "It's down to the individual, but I think Princess Kate has the edge because she is more visible. You're seeing her more at the moment and her styling is stunning. From the navy blue outfit she wore at Sandringham, she is creating beautiful silhouettes.
"Platinum white is a colour for this season. Kate has been wearing white and doing it very well. She looked on trend and beautiful in ivory at the Westminster Abbey carol concert. The blue cape dress she wore at the Royal Variety Performance was a stunning look."
Ms Talbot added that while Kate wears high fashion well, she can also sport more relateable looks, including the white blouse and jeans she wore for the Waleses' Christmas card.

She said: "Kate has this classic, elegant, relateable look. As a brand she definitely appeals to the everyday woman, whether they are in their 80s or 20s. But it's that Royal Family, more structured and tailored look. She creates a classic, heritage look."
Ms Talbot explained that the Waleses' Christmas card shows the relaxed, informal side to Kate's personality, adding: "Everybody would have looked at her and gone, 'I can do that', rather than, 'I can't relate to that'. That shows her relatability. She is drawing you into her world by saying, 'Look, I'm like you'."
But Kate can easily elevate a look while wielding the "incredibly powerful" tool of using her style to relate to others. Ms Talbot said: "She is wearing clothes to make you like her."
While the future Queen's fashions may conform to palace expectations, Meghan - having stepped down with Prince Harry as working royals in January 2020 - now has more freedom when it comes to style.

Ms Talbot said: "Meghan is more playful, more dramatic and edgy. She goes for brighter, bolder colours and is more modern and on trend with her look. Kate is on trend, but in a more subtle way."
She explained how you might see Kate in a formal dress in lilac - one of this spring's trends - you would see Meghan don a T-shirt or trainers in the same colour instead.
The expert, whose services include personal shopping and styling, said: "They will each wear the latest trends, but wear them differently to support what they are doing and who they are."
Meghan's use of bold colour combinations, asymmetric hemlines, sharp tailoring and playful style choices reflect a creative streak that Kate, as a future queen, cannot share as much, Ms Talbot said.
