Palace aides 'celebrating' reports Queen was furious over Harry and Meghan's baby name
Queen Elizabeth told aides Harry and Meghan naming child Lilibet "took only thing she owned", according to a new book,
Royal insiders are reportedly "celebrating" after a new book revealed Queen Elizabeth II was allegedly furious over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to name their daughter Lilibet.
The book, written by royal author Robert Hardman, claims that the late monarch was angered by the couple's assertion that they had her blessing to use her old nickname for their child.
A royal aide is quoted in the book saying the Queen was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" and reportedly told aides: "I don't own the palaces, I don't own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name. And now they've taken that."
Another royal source added: "There's no denying it is pleasing that the truth has emerged.
"[Harry and Meghan] attempted to railroad their version of events through, which weren't accepted then and they are not now.

"You'll find the silence [from the Palace] speaks volumes, but everyone is quietly celebrating this particular wrong being righted."
Mr Hardman suggests in his book that Buckingham Palace is worried Prince Harry might pen a follow-up to his explosive memoir, Spare.
He wrote: "For the Palace, the most worrying aspect of the book was the omission of large chunks of more recent events.
"Harry and Meghan's wedding, married life and their departure from the royal world amounted to less than a fifth of Harry's memoir. This suggested a sequel."

The late Queen's nickname, Lilibet, dates back to her toddler years when she couldn't quite pronounce "Elizabeth".
Her father, George VI, used it as a term of endearment. Years later, Harry and Meghan named their daughter Lilibet.
They claimed they had asked for the Queen's blessing. However, the BBC and other outlets reported that the Queen was not asked.
The new royal book alleges an aide said the Queen was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" over the dispute.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on any of the claims made in Mr Hardman's book.
