Princess Margaret's 'inspirational' morning routine which included a midday vodka pick me up has been going viral on social media again, with royal fans describing it as "living the dream".
The late Queen Elizabeth's sister's 'glorious' morning ritual that was full of luxury was revealed in Craig Brown's biography for the royal, Ma'am Darling: 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret.
According to the author, Margaret, aged around 25 at the time her schedule was recorded, would start her day at 9am which is when she woke up and was served breakfast in bed, which was followed by a two-hour lie-in listening to the radio before taking a lengthy bath.
At 11am Margaret would have an hour-long bath, drawn for her by a maid, before having her hair and make-up done at her dresser.
As soon as noon hit and after having her hair and make-up done, the late princess would prepare for her first tipple of the day- a vodka "pick-me-up".

The book read: "As one would imagine of a Princess, she never wore any of her clothes more than once before having them cleaned."
Finally, at 1pm, the Princess would join "the Queen Mother for a four-course lunch served in an informal manner from silver dishes, with half a bottle of wine per person plus fruit and half a dozen different varieties of native and Continental cheeses".
Royal fans went wild for Margaret's decadent daily routine and took to X to express their 'admiration', with some saying it "is the one we all aspire to".
One user wrote: Sounds absolutely b****y fantastic!".
Another one added: "She was my role model" while a third one said: "Splendid".

A third one said: "I always maintain that Aunt Margo deserves her own spin-off series."
