Queen Camilla to take week off from Royal duties after 'holding the fort'
Queen Camilla has been heading up the Royal Family while King Charles has been receiving treatment for cancer.
Queen Camilla is set to take a well-deserved break from royal duties after holding down the fort since King Charles's cancer diagnosis was announced on February 5.
She has no public engagements in her diary until March 11 and it is understood she will spend some time relaxing with the King and her family, The Times has reported.
The Royal Family will be back out in force on March 11 for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, which King Charles will also not be attending.
He has withdrawn from public life temporarily while he undergoes treatment, although he continues to receive his government red boxes and hold meetings in private.
Since the King's diagnosis was made public Camilla has undertaken 13 engagements, many of them solo when she would normally have been with her husband.

Camilla is currently the most senior member of the Royal Family carrying out duties, as she led a number of members at St George's Chapel in Windsor last Tuesday, February 27.
Many British and European royals came together to mark the life of King Constantine of Greece at his memorial service, following his death in January 2023 aged 82.
Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and Zara and Mike Tindall joined her, although Prince William pulled out at the last minute due to "personal reasons".

A royal source told The Times: "Although she was not expecting to find herself in the position of leading the family, the Queen is absolutely prepared to do whatever needs to be done for the institution.
"She has been buoyed by the public’s reaction. She has found reserves of energy that even she didn’t think she had, and the estimation of her by those inside the Palace has soared as she has put her shoulder to the wheel."
Another source close to the Queen said: "Her Majesty is robust, positive and determined to keep going while the King is off public duties. The King is proud and pleased to see the show is being kept on the road by the Queen and the wider family."
Other royals set to be carrying out public engagements this week include Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Prince William, although without Princess Kate.
She has not been seen since Kensington Palace announced she had undergone abdominal surgery in January and is continuing to recover at home, and is expected to be back at work around Easter time.
