James Wessex sparks fan frenzy with comical tie choice that King Charles would approve of
The Earl of Wessex made a rare appearance on Easter Sunday as he joined the rest of the Firm to church and fans were left impressed by his funky accessory.
James, the Earl of Wessex made royal fans go into an absolute frenzy following his latest appearance on Easter Sunday in Windsor. The son of Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie looked all grown-up in a navy blue suit as he joined the rest of the Royal Family for the annual Easter Mattins service at St George's Chapel.
James paired his navy suit with a crisp white shirt underneath. But it was the 16-year-old's comical tie that stole everyone's attention and his uncle, King Charles would surely approve of the quirky accessory.
The monarch is known for favouring novelty and patterned ties to enhance his outfits or add a secret message to them.
Charles famously wore a tie featuring a Greek flag design at Cop28 last year after a diplomatic incident between Britain and Greece at the time.
He has also sported his infamous pink tie with a light blue tyrannosaurus rex pattern printed all over it - a cheeky reference to his nickname that derives from his insignia, Charles Rex.
