Prince Harry warned he would be forced to ditch this 'money-maker' to become US citizen
Prince Harry - who has lived in the US since 2020 - was recently quizzed about whether he has ever considered applying to become an American citizen.
Americans react to Prince Harry signalling US is now his primary residence
Prince Harry has been warned he would be forced to give up his and Meghan Markle's "money-maker" if he is ever to become a full US citizen.
Filings published by Companies House, for 'Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex', record that his 'New Country/State Usually Resident' is now the USA. Harry previously said he has considered US citizenship, but that it was "certainly not something that is a priority for me right now."
In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to the US but kept their titles despite no longer being senior working members of the Royal Family.
But US-based royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has warned Harry would be forced to give up his title if he ever decided to push ahead with officially becoming an American citizen.
Commenting on Harry's US residency, she told Mike Graham on TalkTV: "We should stress he is not a US citizen though. This is just a piece of paper.

"I do think it eludes to the fact that we can let go of any hope that he will return to the British Royal Family.
"If he decides to become a US citizen, he would be forced to renounce his title or any other nobility he holds before acquiring that citizenship.
"That is the only thing that gives him credibility in the United States - that is both his and Meghan Markle's money-maker. He's not going to give up that title for citizenship."
The move to confirm US residency comes just weeks after Harry was quizzed about the possibility of becoming an American citizen.

During an interview with Good Morning America, host Will Reeve asked: "Do you feel American?" Harry responded: "Do I feel American? No... I don't know how I feel."
But when Reeve asked the Duke of Sussex what would stop him from applying for US citizenship, Harry replied: "I have no idea. I'm here standing next to these guys.
"The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now."
