Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: Royal Family imposes 'information blackout' on pair
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been effectively estranged from the Duke of Sussex's relatives since they stepped down from their roles.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been cut off from the Royal Family's communication network and are not regularly updated on how the King and Kate, the Princess of Wales are, a royal expert claimed.
The Palace has imposed an "information blackout" on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following the cancer diagnosis of the top two royals, according to columnist Maureen Callahan.
After the Princess of Wales announced she was undergoing cancer treatment last month, it emerged Harry and Meghan only learned about her diagnosis like the rest of the public. They followed up the release of release of Kate's announcement video with a statement wishing her well.
Speaking to GBN America, Callahan said: "The only real thing that Meghan Markle and her husband have to merchandise is their connection to the Royal Family, it really is the singular point of interest for either of these people.
"What's true, that we know, is that Harry and Meghan are now in a complete informational blackout. They have no idea what is going on with the health of Kate. They have really no idea, it seems, what's going on with the King so she has really nothing to offer."

George Clooney snubbed Prince Harry as he left Duke in a very embarrassing position
The silver screen icon, George Clooney, found himself in a position where he had to say no to Prince Harry's proposal while the Duke was soaking up the luxury at the Clooneys' Italian retreat.
According to the 2020 tell-all 'Finding Freedom', penned by Royal insider Omid Scobie, the Duke of Sussex was keen on taking one of George's motorcycles for a spin. However, the Academy Award winner was still recuperating from a nasty spill on a Sardinian road that had landed him in the hospital.
The tome reveals "Harry took one of them out with one of his protection officers", highlighting that although George couldn't join in due to his convalescence, Harry didn't miss out on the thrill of a bike ride.
'Finding Freedom' spills the beans on how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, fresh from their nuptial bliss, jetted off in style to Milan on George's dime before being chauffeured to his Lake Como hideaway, just months after their globally watched wedding ceremony.
'Real reason' Meghan Markle turned down invitation to King Charles's Coronation
The 'real reason' for Meghan's absence, as reported by the Mirror, was her dissatisfaction with King Charles's response to a letter she had sent him.
The Duchess of Sussex had previously made several allegations against the Royal Family during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, including their "concerns" about her baby's skin colour.
Meghan wrote to Charles, then the Prince of Wales, about these issues and revealed the identity of the person who made the remark.
However, she was allegedly "not satisfied" with his reply, which played a part in her decision to skip the Coronation.
Meghan Markle sends Kris Jenner special gift from lifestyle range with two-word note
Kris Jenner has revealed that she's the latest recipient of a limited edition jam jar from Meghan Markle, as shared on her Instagram Story this week.
The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, gifted the Kardashians star one of her exclusive jars of strawberry jam.
Kris took to social media to show off the thoughtful gift, which was number 13 out of just 50 sent to influential food enthusiasts.
Alongside the jam, the hamper also included a beautiful set of homegrown lemons.
A personalised white notecard, featuring Kris' name in elegant calligraphy, completed the thoughtful gift.
Buckingham Palace appears to take subtle swipe at Meghan Markle after brand launch
Buckingham Palace posted an advert for its strawberry preserve - days after Meghan Markle's new brand American Riviera Orchard unveiled its strawberry jam.
The Duchess of Sussex has sent 50 jars out to high-profile influencer friends with pictures of the product soon emerging across social media.
But the Palace shop has shared its own advert for its own strawberry preserve.
It says it is "delicious in the morning" or "the perfect accompaniment" to a Victoria sponge or a scone.
Prince Harry now in 'sticky situation' after 'boxing himself into a tight corner'
Prince Harry is in a "sticky situation" after he "boxed himself into a tight corner," a royal expert has claimed.
Conservative US think tank The Heritage Foundation has accused the Duke of Sussex of either lying regarding his past drug usage - something he admitted in his memoir Spare - or of benefiting unfairly from special privileges accorded by the US government.
Those applying for a US immigration visa must disclose any prior history of drug use. The think tank has launched legal action against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to obtain Harry's immigration records.
Royal expert Jennie Bond believes the case could potentially cause an awkward fallout for the Duke of Sussex.

Meghan Markle is reportedly keen on keeping hold of her old lifestyle brand's name.
The Duchess of Sussex's now-defunct blog, The Tig, was highly successful before she married Prince Harry in 2018.
The blog was launched in 2014 and consisted of everything from food to travel content, but was shut down in April 2017 just before her engagement announcement to Harry.
Meghan recently launched a new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, but it seems like she hasn't forgotten about her old venture.
Prince Harry's furious four-word outburst after reporter 'kicked wasp's nest' on tour
A BBC documentary that aired in 2021 charted the media coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their wedding in May 2018 until they quit the Royal Family to start a new life in the United States in early 2020.
In late 2019, the couple embarked on a tour of South Africa with their young baby son, Prince Archie.
In the BBC documentary, members of the royal press pack talked about their experiences on that tour.
Sky News Royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills recalled an exchange in Malawi with Harry where she called out to ask him a question while he was on an engagement - and was given short shrift after she "kicked the wasps' nest".
Meghan Markle’s pal Chrissy Teigen slammed for 'embarrassing' promo of her new jam
Meghan Markle’s celebrity pal Chrissy Teigen has made a delicious sandwich using the Duchess of Sussex’s new luxury jam from her American Riviera Orchard brand.
The limited edition preserve has raised some eyebrows as just 50 jars have been sent to popular influencers.
Teigen, the wife of US singer and songwriter John Legend, has taken to Instagram to reveal she was one of the lucky first people to try Meghan’s first foray into the culinary world.
The model and TV personality shared a video of herself, her husband and their daughter Luna making a tasty brie and bacon sandwich, and had high praise for the jam in the caption.
However, many people weren’t happy she was using her platform to promote Meghan’s new business venture.
Meghan Markle warned podcast 'PR disaster' could see her 'facing future red flag'
Meghan Markle has encountered a major problem with her new podcast, with one expert suggesting it could "become a red flag".
In February, the Duchess of Sussex revealed her partnership with podcast network Lemonada, and the company has since released the first season of Archetypes.
The 42-year-old was reportedly working on a brand new series, but that has allegedly been delayed until 2025.
This delay arises amid concerns of scheduling clashes with the launch of Meghan's new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
PR expert Ryan McCormick has suggested this could be complicated for Meghan.
Prince Harry 'left out in the cold' as fulfilling royal duties 'impossible' from the US
Prince Harry's departure from official Royal Family duties has taken a definitive turn as his residency change to the United States indicates a shift away from Britain's royal circles, a royal expert has explained.
The Duke and his wife Meghan Markle, settled in Montecito, California, in January 2020, stepping back from their senior roles as working royals.
Initially perceived as a temporary move, recent developments have solidified their relocation's permanence. Royal expert Tom Quinn pointed out the broader shifts in royal responsbilities due to this residency adjustment.
He told The Mirror: "There are more profound implications of the change of main residence - because he is a prince of the royal blood and still fifth in line to the throne, Harry is, in theory, still a counsellor of state, charged with carrying out the official duties of the monarch should King Charles become incapacitated.
"For Harry, that is now impossible."
Meghan Markle's fresh nightmare as she's 'snubbed' by celeb pals
Meghan Markle's podcast launch got pushed back to 2025 and A-list celebrities not having time for her is one of the reasons why, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex's podcast distributor, Lemonada Media, postponed the launch of the series by at least a year over fears it will be overshadowed by her latest cooking show on Netflix, and concerns over "scheduling conflicts" between the launch of its podcasts and that of Meghan's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
But now royal commentator Kinsey Schofield claimed a lack of available dates for her prospective guests is proving to be a stumbling block.
She told GB News: "There are sources telling the Daily Mail that Meghan has a list of very high profile guests scheduled to participate in her new podcast, but does she?
"Very high-profile guests usually have their diaries filled months in advance. Meghan should know, she used to be that [high profile]."
Prince Harry's visa row heats up as Biden rejects to release files for second time
Prince Harry's visa status continues to be a major headache for the Biden administration.
The Duke of Sussex is currently facing a challenge in court after the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation demanded the release of his immigration status over his claims he experimented with drugs.
Under US immigration rules, anyone who admits to taking or having taken drugs can have their application to enter the country denied.
The think tank renewed their argument this week after "extraordinary" claims from the US Ambassador to the UK claiming Harry would never be extradited under from the US under the Biden administration.
They argued Ambassador Jane Hartley undermined the government's position on not releasing the papers.
But lawyers from the Department of Homeland Security once again rejected their demands and insisted Hartley had merely been giving her reaction to previous comments from former president Donald Trump.
Trump told the Daily Express he would remove the Duke of Sussex from the US if Harry were to be found to have lied on his visa application.
Meghan Markle 'fears she's losing control of situation' in royal row
Meghan Markle is concerned Prince Harry could be 'made a fool of again' if she tries to breach the topic of reconciliation with his brother, a royal insider has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex is "terrified" that the Duke may be too "naive" when it comes to trying to end his ongoing feud with the Royal Family, the insider argued.
Harry is expected to return to the UK early next month and he is reportedly eager to mend fences with his older brother.
But the source claimed Meghan "fears she's losing control of the situation" and feels Harry would be making a "big mistake" reaching out to Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales.
The insider told OK!: "It would never bother Meghan if she didn't see William and Kate again and sadly knows that there is no relationship between her children and George, Charlotte and Louis. She would've loved that to happen but the Waleses have made it clear they don't want it.
"But she knows deep down that Harry wants to fix the relationship and the Kate news has made him more determined to try and do it. But she thinks Harry is being naive and that he still can't trust William. She's terrified he'll be made a fool of again and William will use him. She knows she makes better decisions than Harry as she won't let her emotions rule her, but she fears she's losing control over this situation.
"Meghan knows she is facing a losing battle when it comes to Harry reaching out to Kate and William to try and sort through their differences, but she thinks he's making a big mistake. She obviously feels sympathy for Kate and what she's going through, but in her mind, it doesn't change things."
