Princess Kate sends royal fans into frenzy as Rugby World Cup moment goes viral

Princess Kate seemed just as surprised as the crowd when her face popped up on the big screen.

Fans are turning to TikTok to share their favourite moments of Princess Kate, like when the crowd went into an uproar at the 2023 Rugby World Cup over her attendance.

Kate was watching the match from the stands, in a stunning all white outfit, when her image popped up on the stadium’s large screen with the entire stadium cheering for her.

The crowd’s reaction brought a smile to her face, and it appears the feelings were reciprocated, as seen in the footage.

A TikTok user uploaded the footage to the social media platform.

The video has been viewed over 400,000 times with 79.2K likes and 245 comments.

The Rugby World Cup took place in Marseille, France in September 2023. Kate was in the stands for the England vs Argentina match. The princess patron of the England Rugby Football Union and attended the game solo.

Kate was given the role by Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 after Prince Harry returned the position to the Crown when he resigned from his role as a senior working royal.

TikTok fans seemed to really enjoy the clip, writing notes like: “THE LOOK, THE HAIR, THE CROWD, EVERYTHING.”

One fan even takes credit for the crowd’s reaction in a joking way: “I’m actually the one who paid the crowd to cheer for her.”
