Prince William turned to social media to show his appreciation for his father King Charles and the moment hs gone viral.

William shared a photo of the two of them playing with a football in the gardens of Kensington Palace. At the time, William was just two years old and Charles was 35.

Charles - dressed in a grey suit, and smart shoes - kicks the ball around with his son, who is wearing denim overalls and buckled shoes with white cotton socks.

The heir appears to be just delighted playing with his dad in the Palace garden.

Newsweek’s Jack Royston believes William may have chosen this photo because he’s been a lifelong fan of football and it was his way of showing his support to the England who beat Serbia 1-0 in Euro 2024 on Saturday.

He shared the photo to X using the official Kensington Palace handle with the caption: “Happy Father’s Day Pa. W.”

Fans turned to the comments section to join in the Father’s Day celebration with some keeping it short, simply writing: “Happy Father’s Day.”

Another said: “This is so precious! Happy Father’s Day to HM King Charles! The King did an amazing job raising you as an exceptional human! Sending love from the US!”

And, some zeroed in on the photo itself, writing notes like: “So sweet! Great picture!”

For the most part, X users all seem to be sending good wishes to both William and Charles and the Royal Family as a whole.
