The 10 richest monarchs in the world - King Charles £610m fortune not enough to make list
Express.co.uk takes a look at the top ten royals in the world who are wealthier than King Charles.
King Charles net worth is estimated to be £610million and the number is much smaller than ten other foreign royals before him.

In fact, the monarch does not even make it into the top 10 list of the richest monarchs and family members around the world.
Charles saw his net worth increase by £10million last year, with his personal net worth totalling £610million, according to The Sunday Times' 2024 Rich List.
However, it looks like it's only a fraction of what the richest royal in the world has accumulated over the years, totalling between £33billion - £23,5billion.
Here, Express.co.uk takes a look at the top ten richest royals in the world.
Thailand's King Vajiralongkorn
King Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as Rama X, is the wealthiest monarch in the world with his net worth estimated to be between a whooping £23billion to £55billion.
His wealth is mainly sourced from Thailand's Crown Property Bureau - an agency which manages the king's property.
Vajiralongkorn ascended to the Thai throne in December 2016 at the age of 64, following the death of his father King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in October of that year. He is currently the oldest Thai monarch to ascend to the throne.

Brunei's Sultan, Hassanal Bolkiah
The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah is the second richest monarch in the world with an estimated net worth of £15billion to £22billion. His wealth is mainly generated from profits from the oil and gas industry.
Hassanal Bolkiah ascended to the Bruneian throne in 1967, following the abdication of his father, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III.
He is currently the world's longest-reigning current monarch and the longest-serving current head of state.

Saudi Arabia's King Salman
Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud comes third in the richest monarch's list with a reported net worth of £14billion, which is generated from profits from the oil industry.
As well as a monarch, he has also been the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2022.
He ascended to the throne in January 2015 and is the third oldest living head of state and the oldest living monarch.

Morocco's King Mohammed VI
Mohammed VI of Morocco has an estimated net worth of £1,6billion to £6,4billion and comes fourth in the list.
The majority of his wealth comes from his various investments in SNI - a leading holding company in Morocco and his own Siger Holdings.
He is also the richest king in Africa. He ascended to the throne in July 1999, upon the death of his father, King Hassan II.
Early in his reign, Mohammed introduced a number of different reforms, which some more power being given to the women in Morocco.
