Prince Harry revealed the three-word comments that infuriated his older brother Prince William, with relations between the brothers understood to be at an all-time low.

In his January 2023 memoir 'Spare', the Duke of Sussex detailed a heated confrontation that allegedly escalated into a physical altercation.

According to Harry, tensions peaked when William called Meghan Markle - Harry's wife - "difficult," "rude," and "abrasive."

Harry described his older brother as "parroting the narratives" about Meghan, which sparked a heated argument between the brothers at the Duke's residence in London in 2019.

During the confrontation, Harry claimed his brother grabbed him by the collar, tore his necklace, and forcefully knocked him to the floor, resulting in visible injuries.

The Duke of Sussex recounted feeling shocked and scared, seeking refuge in the kitchen to avoid further conflict.

Despite William's attempts to justify his actions as trying to help, Harry dismissed his brother's explanations as irrational.

In his memoir, Harry detailed the rapid escalation of the altercation and said: "He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor."

Following the incident, Prince Harry asserted that he was attacked while Prince William expressed regret and later apologised.

He alleged William was telling him to hit him back and cited similar fights when they were kids.

Harry then allegedly told his brother "You attacked me", to which William replied: "I didn't attack you, Harold."

Meghan later noticed the "scrapes and bruises" and told her of the attack, but she "wasn't that surprised" and "wasn't all that angry. She was terribly sad."
