Meghan Markle’s split second sign she was ‘nervous’ next to Princess Kate laid bare
An expert has claimed the Duchess of Sussex was also "pushed" to the side by Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle displayed a tell-tale sign she was "nervous" next to Princess Kate during a royal outing.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Prince Harry, Meghan and Kate reunited at Windsor Castle to speak to fans and look at heartfelt tributes.
Footage from the poignant moment suggests that it may not have felt as friendly as it seemed for the royal brothers and their wives.
Claims of Prince Harry guiding Meghan away from Prince William and Kate were made by body language expert, Jesús Enrique Rosas, being described as one of the most ‘spectacular displays of body language’ that he had ever seen.
Despite Prince William reportedly reaching out to Harry and Meghan, Rosas believes footage captured on the day showed signs of tension.
The four were seen to be getting mixed up with the seating in the car.
Footage shows Harry guiding Meghan to the right hand side, which happened to be occupied by Kate, he then led her by her waist and awkwardly walked past Prince William.
It was Meghan's split-second gesture that Rosas says was a giveaway she was nervous. He explained that Meghan briefly placing her hand on her chest was a protective sign.
The body language expert said in a video on his Royal Rogue on Youtube: “It was obvious that despite how uncomfortable Catherine could be, she managed to slay. She nailed the way one should behave when you find yourself in a situation in which you need to share the stage with others.
“Meghan was nervous, looking in Catherine’s direction, and Meghan’s left hand - was at least, for a split second - covering her chest. Catherine was walking tall with her hands relaxed and her chin really up.”
Meanwhile Kate's body language communicated her confidence in the moment, with her lifted chin reading as a symbol of who was in charge rather than arrogance.
Rosas added: "She nailed the way one should behave when you find yourself in a situation in which you need to share the stage with others."
William warmly addressed the crowd with gratitude and waved. He was then joined by Kate, then Harry and finally Meghan caught on by making a small wave to a portion of the crowd on her left.
After ushering Meghan into her side of the car, Harry took his seat behind William.
It has been reported that Kate admitted to a senior royal that the walkabout was one of the hardest things she’d ever had to do.
This was before Prince Harry released his explosive autobiography, Spare, that laid bare family secrets and his resentment of his brother.
Harry later criticised the royal institution again in the cloying Netflix documentary about his and Meghan’s separation from their royal duties.
