Spain fans celebrate as team win Euro 2024 final
The Prince of Wales let out a hilarious one-word insult following a tense exchange during Sunday's Euro 2024 final between England and Spain, according to a lip reader.
Prince William took his eldest child, Prince George, to watch the heartbreaking match where Spain beat England by 2-1 in the European Championship in Berlin, Germany.
The pair were seen cheering on the Three Lions as well as covering their faces with disbelief after Spain's second goal.
But according to one lip reader, there was one conversation between William and an unknown woman, which reportedly left the heir to the throne not "happy" and made him mutter a quaint insult under his breath.
The exchange took place as father and son were cheering on Gareth Southgate's team when the unknown woman approached them and appeared to want to speak to William.
Lip reader Nicola Hinkling told the Mirror: "William wasn't having any of it and said it 'was already requested'.
"When he sat down, he muttered under his breath the word 'sausage'."
After England's devastating loss, William took to social media and wrote: " This time it just wasn’t meant to be. We’re all still so proud of you. Onwards England. W."
The Prince of Wales, who is president of the Football Association, went viral earlier this month when he attended the nail-biting Euro 2024 quarter-final match which saw England beat Switzerland on penalties and progress to the semi-finals.

The heir to the throne was seen jumping out of his seat and punching the air after England equalised in the 80th minute, around five minutes after Switzerland scored the first goal.
Last month, William also attended England's game against Denmark which resulted in a draw.
He was pictured in the stands chatting with the King of Denmark, King Frederik X, and his daughter Princess Josephine, as well as posing for pictures with the pair.
