The Prince and Princess of Wales have taken to social media to issue a personal message in response to England's defeat against Spain last night.
The message, which is accompanied by a sweet picture of their two youngest children, read: "England, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C."
In the sweet image, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, are both sporting personalised England shirts.
Leaving Kate, Charlotte and Louis in the UK, William travelled to Berlin to support the England team with the couple's eldest son, 10-year-old Prince George.
Following the defeat last night, William sent his own personal message to the team. He wrote: " This time it just wasn’t meant to be. We’re all still so proud of you. Onwards @England. W."
