'CATASTROPHIC anti-Semitism is DESTROYING my party' rages Labour MP on ITV Peston
LABOUR’s handling of the antisemitism row has been branded “catastrophic” by one of the party’s own MPs who warned leader Jeremy Corbyn he will eventually “destroy” the group.
John Mann fired the stark message to Mr Corbyn after being questioned on ITV Peston last night. Mr Mann, a prominent campaigner against anti-Semitism, told the show’s host Robert Peston he feared for the party’s future. Peston grilled Mr Mann over allegations Mr Corbyn had been interfering in how Labour is disciplining anti-Semites in the party.
When quizzed on whether the Labour leader was taking concerns from members on board, Mr Mann said: “It tells me he’s not listening to people such as the Mayor of London, who is spot on.
“He says as a party we have to take responsibility because it’s clearly chaotic.
“What’s going on is catastrophic.
“It will eventually destroy the party, it will destroy Mr Corbyn’s leadership and is slowly doing so.

“Morale within the party is at rock bottom and this is a key reason for that.”
Mr Mann added: “We’re virtually in a political war with the Jewish community.
“It’s extraordinary.”
The outburst comes just days after the party was slammed for its failure to tackle anti-Semitism following the appointment of Laura Murray to its independent complaints unit.
Ms Murray is the daughter of one of Mr Corbyn’s closest allies.
She has been involved in a spat with TV’s Rachel Riley, an outspoken critic of how Labour is handling the crisis.
Upon hearing about the appointment, Ms Riley, who works on Channel 4’s ‘Countdown’, wrote on Twitter: “The same woman who called me dangerous and stupid for talking about anti-Semitism?
“What seriously? Is that how she got the job?! Can’t be true…?!”
