Happy 14th birthday to girl who survived all the odds
COURAGEOUS Kirsty Howard celebrated her 14th birthday yesterday with a free shopping trip to Harrods.
The fundraising teenager, who was born with a back-to- front heart and misplaced organs, has amazed doctors who said ten years ago that she had only months to live.
Kirsty was treated to a horse and carriage ride around Lon- don’s Hyde Park with model Caprice, 37, before meeting up
with Mohamed Al Fayed.
The Harrods owner, 76, told her to pick what she wanted from the Knightsbridge store’s famous toy department.
An onlooker said: “Kirsty’s unbreakable smile was broader than ever.”
Kirsty, whose condition is so rare it doesn’t even have a name, has raised £5million for children’s charities.
In the process she has melted the hearts of many celebrities, including Andrew Flintoff and David Beckham – who calls her his “little angel”.
