August is the worst month for drink driving with 10 percent more cases than the annual average, figures reveal.
Driving after drinking is not okay – no matter that it's summer
Data obtained from the police shows arrests for driving over limit during August average 239 a day. July is the second-worst month with 233 cases a day, followed by December with 223.
The figures were obtained by Churchill Motor Insurance, which also surveyed 2,000 motorists to find 22 percent say they feel confident about driving after having a drink.
And 36 percent admit to doing it with children in the car.

Nicholas Mantel, of Churchill, said: "It is important to have fun yet stay sensible. Driving when drinking alcohol can be dangerous, for the drivers, passengers, and other road users."
